After having a spate of colds lately, Holly has learnt how to lick the snot from under her nose - ewww! We went to the kids sports carnival the other day and Holly found a big teddy bear to play with.

On the weekend, Chris, John, John and John came to help us lay some lawn. Thankyou for all your help, it looks amazing and Holly can play everywhere now without getting filthy dirty. Thankyou to Grandma and Jamie who took Holly shopping for the day to keep her out from under our feet while we worked in the garden :)

I took Holly to the hair dresser today to get her first "proper" haircut.... we all remember my first horrendous attempt at doing her fringe so I enlisted the help of a professional this time :) Anyway, Holly cried and cried the entire 5 minutes it took to trim her fringe! Perhaps she will just keep it long until she goes to school? Didn't get any photos at the salon as I was too busy keeping her on my lap, and stopping her from grabbing the scissors.... :)

So we are back from Thailand - boo! We all had a lovely time - Holly is a pretty good little traveller, so will have to take her again next year! While we were away, she cut through 5 (!!!!) teeth and got pretty good at walking. She now has 12 teeth and is using walking more and more as her main mode of transport.

If anyone else is interested, we will be going back to Phuket this time next year, staying at the same place (Centara Kata Beach Resort) if you would like to join us. It comes highly recommended by the Wilson Family :)

Our last night - I had just finished off a bottle of Southern Comfort....
And Mark was cleaning out the mini-bar....
This weird thing was in our room on the last night.... I made Mark get rid of it incase one of us woke up during the night with it crawling over our face.... ergh!
Holly with her friend Pla - this guy came and fed Holly breakfast most mornings and would repeatedly sniff her head. She seemed to like him :)
Holly enjoying herself immensely (not!!) with some friends she made, Daniella and Zaneeta. These little girls are from Newcastle and made a bee-line to Holly every time they saw her by the pool. Normally Holly had a great time with them :)

We are off on holiday this weekend - Hooray!! Since the last blog post, Holly has cracked through her 7th tooth and just working on number 8 (don't think it will be long til it is here) and has weathered her first bout of gastro... luckily for mummy and daddy, Holly was having a sleep-over at Aunty Da's house and she copped most of the spew (yay!).

It has been a big week for Holly - she has learnt how to sleep through the night and is a much happier girl for it - and now eats and eats and eats!! She is our very own piglet :) She is still working on teeth 7 and 8 - they keep coming up and then disappearing again!

Holly pulls this face all the time - it usually accompanies a full-face kiss from her :) She does this, then grabs your face and rubs her face on yours - lovely!

Holly will be 9 months old next week. We have 3 teeth now (2 bottom, 1 top!) that she likes to grind and put mummy on edge, and have been crawling since last week. She is getting pretty fast and I have to chase her around the house! So cute!! She has started to crab crawl, so maybe walking isn't that far off??! Today she stood herself up against the wall outside and couldn't get back down again - so sweet!

We went on a family holiday to Rottnest Island, thanks to Great Grandma - what a fantastic Christmas present! Holly is 7 months old now and loved spending time with her cousins, Aunty, Uncle and Grandparents.
